Do you remember the day you were born?
Everything was just about the same as it had been for the past nine months or so. Then, instead of being laid back and cozy, you started getting moved around. Then the screaming started and it got louder and louder. Then "BAM"... and I don't mean Books-A-Million. All of a sudden you were cold instead of a nice cozy 98.6 degrees. The lights were bright instead of a dim soothing pink. Your arms and legs were flying every which way instead of being tucked up nice and close to your body. And this loud noise, which you had never heard before, started coming out of your mouth. And everything that was going on was very scary. Then someone put a blanket around you and made you warm and your arms and legs stopped flying around. They held you close and and the bright lights seemed to dim and you had this feeling this person was someone you had known for a while. All of a sudden you weren't so scared and the loud noise stopped coming out of your mouth.
The next thing you noticed was you were hungry. Hungry? That had never happened before. It didn't feel good and it made you scared again. Hmmm? Maybe if you made that noise come out of your mouth again that nice person would fix the hunger. Sure enough, the person stuck something in your mouth and it made the hunger go away. A little while later you realized that what went in your mouth had come out the other end and that didn't make you feel good and you were scared again. Hmmm? Sure enough, you made that noise and that nice person cleaned everything up and made it feel all better again. It didn't take too long for you to realized you liked her. Then this other person showed up and started helping her make you feel all better and you liked him too.
Now do you remember the day you were born? I'll bet your mom and dad do.
