The White House issued a statement from President Obama on Egypt..."I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arrests of President Morsy and his supporters (i.e. Muslim Brotherhood)."
Today...
The Egyptian prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of the Muslim Brotherhood's top leader, Mohamed Badie, and his deputy Khairat el-Shater. Shater, a wealthy businessman, is the Brotherhood's top political strategist. Shater and Badie were ordered arrested on accusations of inciting violence in which at least eight people were killed outside the Brotherhood's Cairo headquarters earlier this week.
