Changed My Mind

I am a registered "non-affiliated" voter in the State of West Virginia. I have voted in every presidential election since 1968 and have voted for both Democrat and Republican candidates. I had decided not to vote in the election this September. However, after watching this video I've changed my mind.

We Must Respect God's Servants

I, too, taught my children how to respond to the police. If they say, "hands up," you put your hands up! If they say, "get on the ground," you get on the ground! If they say, "hands behind your back," you put your hands behind your back! If they say "stop," you stop! You don't argue with them, but comply with their commands. And, you always show them respect as the authority in the situation. If you have a problem with them you believe needs to be addressed, you do it through the court system. It's time to restore some respect in America for our police officers. They're not perfect, but they are on the raw edge of humanity and deal with the worst of human sinfulness! Without them...this society will devolve into anarchy!

“For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.” (Romans 13:3-5 NLT)
