A Warm Thank You
This is for all you folks (me included) who kick up the thermostat on these cold mornings and never give a thought to saying thank you to the people who make it possible for you and me to be toasty warm at the flick of a switch. This is a picture I took this morning of the John E. Amos power plant down the road from where we live. As you can see from the water vapor rising from all three cooling towers the plant is running flat out generating electricity so that we can all be comfortable. One of the managers of this facility lives a couple houses down the street from us and I'm going to tell him thanks next time I run into him. If you know someone who works here, or at a similar facility, tell them "thank you" next time you see them.
Even if you don't live near here, just remember; the electricity from this facility is fed into the grid and, in a round about way, helps keep all our butts warm on these cold days.

Re-post Again And Again And Again
This is a re-post of a few months ago. This message must be repeated over and over and over.
When you hear the applause, just remember, the majority of those in the audience are teachers...

Alpha And Omega
I just got done reading an article describing how physicists for more than a 100 years have been trying to figure out how "everything" works. Everything means from the smallest particle known to man to the vastness of the universe. The title of the article is "In Search Of Time's Origin".
Seems as though a whole bunch of physicists have done a whole bunch of figurin' and come to the conclusion that there ain't no such thing as "time". You heard me right. One of these guys said, "mounting evidence shows that at the most basic level of reality, time is an illusion, and stranger still, that time really doesn't exist". Another really smart fella says that if there ain't no time then perhaps we're dead, then we're alive and finally we're born.
As you may have guessed, this is a really big problem for these really smart dudes. Most of them agree that it will require a "breakthrough" in general relativity and quantum mechanics to find the origin of time.
Hey guys, you really want to find the origin of time?
Here's a hint...Revelation 1:8

Middle Class - It Ain't Worth It Anymore
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for helping anyone who is down and out and going through tough times. But, when someone only needs to make $7.50/hr and work just one week a month to be just as well off as the poor (pun intended) guy working for $28.50/hr full time, it just ain't right.

Two Flags...Two Men...One Desire
These two men are twelve years and a world apart. But they're thinking the same thing. If you don't know why, you should...
