The other day Japan's L0 Maglev train took to the tracks for the first time for a "full speed" test run. Just under three miles out from the station this bullet train reached a speed of 311 mph. If I've done the math correctly, that's leaving New York City at 8:00 AM and arrive in Los Angeles at 3:00 PM. The same day!
All aboard fellow Americans or we're going to get left behind...
